Man Murdered in Andover – Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a man was fatally attacked in Andover in the early hours of Friday, 13 April.
Man Found Injured on Cricketers Way
Police were called just before 1am after a 28-year-old Londoner was found seriously injured on Cricketers Way. He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but sadly died on arrival.
Suspect Arrested – Investigation Underway
A 37-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Officers are combing the area and conducting house-to-house inquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Ben Chivers said: “Our investigations into what happened in the early hours are ongoing. Residents will notice a heavy police presence in Andover today and over the weekend.”
“We believe people in the area or who witnessed the incident may not have spoken to us yet. If that’s you, please get in touch.”
Chief Inspector Kory Thorne added: “We know this will alarm local residents, but we are increasing patrols. This type of violent crime is rare here.”
