A Windsor woman, Leah Cordice, has been found guilty of sexual activity with a child after a thorough investigation by Thames Valley Police.

Leah Cordice, who was 17 years old at the time of the offences, was convicted by a unanimous jury at Reading Crown Court on March 4. The case involved sexual activity with a 13-year-old boy. This illegal relationship led to the birth of a baby in 2017, with DNA tests confirming the boy as the father.

The case was initially reported to Thames Valley Police in June 2018. Cordice was arrested on 9 July 2018 and questioned about the allegations. During the investigation, she denied the charges, claiming that the boy had raped her multiple times. However, the jury rejected her defence and found her guilty of at least five counts of sexual activity between December 2016 and August 2017.

Cordice will be sentenced on 3 April at Reading Crown Court. It is important to note that she was acquitted of two additional counts related to sexual activity with a child.

Detective Constable Charlotte Jack of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit praised the victim’s courage throughout the legal process. She said, “The victim has endured a traumatic ordeal, including discovering he fathered a child at such a young age. He bravely gave evidence in open court, despite facing false rape allegations himself. I commend him and his family for their strength and patience throughout this case.”
