Police have arrested a second suspect in the shocking murder of Jordan Gray, who was shot dead in his own home just six weeks after becoming a dad.
Tragic Killing in Lanarkshire Flat
Jordan, 26, was found with fatal gunshot wounds at his Shields Court flat in Motherwell on December 14, 2025. The discovery sparked a major murder investigation with forensic experts and specialist teams rushing to the scene.
New Suspect Back in Custody
- A 30-year-old man was re-arrested this morning after police executed a warrant.
- He had initially been arrested on March 12 but was released pending more inquiries.
- The man is due in Hamilton Sheriff Court tomorrow.
This arrest follows the initial charge against 58-year-old Robert Clark last month for Jordan’s murder and allegedly carrying a firearm in public. Clark made no plea and remains in custody.
Family Pleads for Justice
“The outpouring of love we have had since Jordan’s death is testament to the fact that he was a well-liked young man,” said Jordan’s mum, Lynn Gray. “Jordan’s baby will have to grow up without knowing how much his dad loved him.”
Police continue to treat the killing as targeted and Crimestoppers offered a £20,000 reward for information.
