County lines drug dealer Courtnie Jevans has been jailed after a police raid in Cambridge. Officers raided a home on Fulbourn Road, Cambridge, last September and found Jevans, aged 23, caught red-handed with drug users.
During the raid, police discovered three mobile phones, one of which was directly linked to dealing class A drugs. Further investigations revealed that Jevans had been regularly travelling between London and Cambridge from July to September, running a county lines drug operation. The drugs were transported frequently into Cambridge for sale.
On Friday 17 March, Jevans, who is from Sunnybank, Newton Abbot, Devon, was sentenced at Huntingdon Crown Court to two years and six months in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of involvement in class A drug supply.
Jevans was one of 44 individuals arrested across Cambridgeshire in September and October as part of Operation Hypernova. This police crackdown successfully dismantled 33 county lines, seizing class A and B drugs valued at over £600,000, along with cash, assets, and weapons.
Detective Constable Tom Corbett said: “Jevans was operating a fairly sophisticated county line, bringing drugs from London to sell in Cambridge on a regular basis.”
He added, “We want to make it clear: dealers travelling to Cambridge are not welcome and will be targeted relentlessly by police.”
