Kent Police are urgently seeking witnesses following a tragic collision in Hythe that resulted in the death of an elderly woman. The incident happened just before 3pm on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, on Prospect Road.
A bus travelling eastbound between Sun Lane and Douglas Avenue struck the woman, who was in her 80s. Emergency services airlifted her to a hospital in London, but she sadly passed away on Wednesday, 15 October 2025.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was on the bus at the time and left before police arrived. They are also asking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or seen the bus prior to the collision to come forward.
