Emergency services rushed to Bishops Waltham just after 12:30pm on Friday following reports of a worker trapped on scaffolding. The man was located on the second level of the scaffolding where he collapsed and required urgent medical attention.

Fire crews from Wickham, Fareham, Cosham, and St. Mary’s stations joined forces with a specialist technical rescue unit from Hampshire Fire and Rescue’s Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) squad. Together, they coordinated efforts to safely free the trapped worker from the scaffolding.

South Central Ambulance Service deployed multiple resources to the scene, including a paramedic, an ambulance, and a hazardous area response team. The man received treatment on-site after collapsing while working on the scaffolding.
