A woman in her 20s is fighting for her life after a brutal stabbing in Oldham. Police have arrested two men and a teenage boy in connection with the savage attack.
Violence on Greenwood Street
Officers were called to Greenwood Street at around 10.40pm on Friday, 27 March, following reports of a vicious assault. They found the young woman suffering serious stabbing wounds.
She was rushed to hospital, where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
Three Arrested – One Still Locked Up
- A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault and remains in custody.
- A second man and a teenage boy, both suspects, were released on bail pending further inquiries.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Out
“This is a serious incident and our thoughts remain firmly with the victim at this time,” said Detective Inspector Mike Ogiliev of the Oldham district team.
“We believe this is an isolated event with no wider threat to the community. We urge anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or mobile footage from the area at the time to come forward.”
