Police were called to Kirkdale, Sydenham, around 11am on Wednesday, June 10, after a car crashed into the Tesco Express store. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene promptly to manage the situation.
Collett Bartley, 42, from Kirkdale, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and driving while disqualified following the incident. She was charged later that day.
Bartley is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 11, to face the charges.
The Metropolitan Police responded swiftly to reports of the crash, working alongside the London Ambulance Service to ensure safety and proper assessment at the scene.
