Firefighters Injured in Reckless Act
Chaos hit Southampton last night when a lit firework was hurled through a fire station window. Two brave firefighters were injured and rushed to hospital but thankfully discharged later the same night.

Fire Service Condemns Attack
Dan Tasker, Assistant Director of Operations at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue, slammed the “deeply unpleasant incident” and warned the consequences could have been far worse.
“Our firefighters are being supported and we urge anyone with information to come forward. Attacks on our people will never be tolerated and will always be reported to police,” he said.

With Bonfire Night around the corner, Tasker made a direct appeal to the public to act responsibly. Fireworks aren’t toys—they’re explosives that can cause lasting harm.
“Please talk to your children about fireworks and keep a close eye on them. Report anyone behaving recklessly to police immediately,” he added.
