Two Teens Seriously Hurt in Horror M6 Smash – Hunt On for Hit-and-Run HGV

Late-Night Crash Shuts M6 for Hours

Two teenage boys were left with severe injuries after a nasty pile-up on the M6 northbound last Sunday night. The motorway was shut for hours, causing chaos between junctions 32 and 33.

The smash happened just before 11:20pm on 15 February when a green Nissan Micra suddenly veered into the central reservation, smashing into the crash barrier before coming to a stop in lane three.

Chain Reaction Collision Involving HGV

Moments later, a silver Toyota Celica rammed the Micra. But the drama didn’t end there – a heavy goods vehicle then reportedly crashed into the Toyota before fleeing the scene without a glance back.

Police Launch Appeal for HGV Driver and Witnesses

“Many of you will be aware that the M6 was closed following a collision last night. It has since reopened. We are now asking for your help to trace the HGV involved.”

Lancashire Police are urgently searching for the HGV driver and urging anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. The motorway was closed in both directions as emergency crews battled to save lives and investigate the horror smash.
