Police Urge Cyclists: Register Your Wheels Now

A spokesperson said:

“We’re always pleased to reunite stolen property with its owner, and in this case, our officers’ attentiveness made all the difference.”

They urged all cyclists to register their bikes on the national Bike Register database to boost chances of recovery and put off thieves.

“Registering your bicycle not only helps in recovery if it’s ever stolen, but also acts as a deterrent to thieves,” the spokesperson added. “Bikes with registration markings are harder to sell and easier to trace.”
