‘South London Wars’ Set to Ignite School Showdowns
A viral video has named February 27, March 4, and March 13 as dates for so-called “meet-ups” between rival South London schools. It splits students into “Red” and “Blue” camps, sparking fears of organised school brawls across London.
Schools Divided into Red and Blue Armies
Peckham and Sydenham schools are tagged as “Red,” while Lewisham and Bromley schools form the “Blue” team. Shockingly, the video drags in post-16 and higher education spots like Harris Sixth Form Sydenham, Lewisham College, Bromley College, and even University of Greenwich.
But many named institutions aren’t actually in the boroughs claimed, and no official locations for these clashes have been confirmed. The whole situation remains unclear and suspicious.
Violence Glorified in Disturbing Social Media Trend
The craze, first spotted earlier this month under the tag “Croydon War,” urges pupils Year 9 to Year 11 to turn up for face-offs with rival schools. Even more alarmingly, some posts suggest bringing weapons like scissors, compasses, and metal combs to the fights.
Police stress there are no confirmed venues so far. They are treating these posts as potential troublemakers stirring unrest rather than evidence of organised events.
Parents Warned: Stay Alert and Report
- Parents urged to speak with their children about staying safe amid these threats.
