A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a crash involving a car at a busy central London junction just after 2am on Friday, 13 December. The collision took place at the crossroads of Portman Square, Wigmore Street, and Orchard Street in Marylebone, W1.
Emergency crews from the Metropolitan Police and other services arrived quickly at the scene. They found the motorcyclist badly hurt and transported them to hospital, where they remain under treatment.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson issued an urgent appeal for witnesses, stating: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Marylebone last week. Officers attended the scene at 2.09am on Friday, 13 December, where a car collided with a motorbike. The rider is still in hospital with severe injuries.”
Authorities are asking anyone who saw the collision or who has dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward and assist with the investigation. Witnesses can call the appeal line on 020 8597 4874 or contact police on 101, quoting reference CAD 580/13Dec24.
The crash site has since been cleared, but police investigations continue as they work to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
