A1M Shutdown After Serious Crash Near M25
The A1M is completely closed both southbound and northbound between Junction 3 for Hatfield and Junction 1 of the M25. A serious collision in the early hours has caused chaos on this crucial stretch.
Crash Details Emerging
Hertfordshire Police were called to the scene around 1am on March 30 after a vehicle smashed into the barriers on the roundabout. The grey Skoda suffered heavy front-end damage. It’s still unclear how the crash happened.
Driver Critically Injured
The driver was seriously hurt and rushed to St Mary’s Hospital in Town. Police remain on site carrying out investigations. The carriageway is expected to stay closed until at least 5am while officers piece together what went wrong.
Highways England said: “The carriageway closure is required to enable a thorough police investigation.”
