German Police Smash Channel Migrant Smuggler Gang in Major Raid

German cops have dealt a heavy blow to Channel migrant smugglers, seizing 11 boats, an engine, and a stash of tyre inner tubes in a dramatic swoop on March 25. Europol confirmed the crackdown has seriously disrupted a ruthless smuggling ring.

Cross-Border Raids Nab Four Suspects

The blitz targeted 14 sites—12 in Germany and two in Belgium. Four key suspects, all Syrian nationals, were hauled in. This follows earlier arrests of 17 accomplices across Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, part of a massive probe into the network.

Smugglers Rake in Thousands Selling Deadly Channel Crossing Gear

The gang, led by Iraqi-Kurdish and Syrian operatives, dealt in hazardous small boat crossing kits. They shipped inflatable boats, engines, pumps, fuel containers, and tyre inner tubes all the way from Asia via Türkiye to Germany. Each package sold for over €10,000, then funneled to networks in northern France.
