Tragic Crash on A259: 80-Year-Old Biker Killed

A deadly collision between a Red Honda motorcycle and a Citroen rocked East Guldeford on Saturday afternoon, May 21. The crash happened at around 1.15pm on the A259 Folkestone Road.

Elderly Rider Dies at the Scene

The motorcyclist, an 80-year-old man from Norfolk, died instantly. Emergency services rushed to the spot, but sadly, nothing could be done. His family has been informed of the heartbreaking news.

The Citroen driver escaped uninjured.

Road Closures and Investigation Underway

Officers kept the roads closed for hours while they attended the scene. Sergeant Stacey Ellott from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the probe.

“We are investigating a fatal RTC at East Guldeford near 1 on Saturday, May 21. Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time are urged to come forward,” said Sergeant Ellott.
