An explosion rocked a property on Durham Street in Gosport just after 2.30am on New Year’s Day 2022. Emergency crews rushed to the scene following reports of the blast.
A man who had left the house to go to the shop returned to find the explosion had occurred. He reported that one friend inside was unresponsive, while another was possibly in cardiac arrest.
Police officers, firefighters from Gosport, Portsmouth, and Fareham, paramedics from South Central Ambulance, and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) all raced to the scene to manage the emergency.
Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire Fire and Rescue, and South Central Ambulance have yet to release official details. Authorities are currently awaiting further information and will provide updates when available.
