Leona Peach, a young woman from North Devon, was last seen around 9.15am on Monday 20 December in the Hele Park area of Newton Abbot. Authorities believe she may have travelled to Bideford since her disappearance.
Police have issued a heartfelt appeal for Leona to contact her family in Newton Abbot. Detective Inspector Dave Pebworth said: “Enquiries are continuing in our efforts to locate Leona and we are asking members of the public to help us.”
He added, “We are supporting her friends and family and are appealing to Leona to contact home so they know she is safe and well. This time of year is especially important for families. We want to make sure she’s okay and ask anyone with her to encourage her to get in touch.”
Detective Inspector Pebworth continued, “Leona, if you’re reading this, you are not in any trouble. Please contact us or someone you trust to let us know you’re safe.”
Leona is described as a white female, slim to medium build, approximately 4ft 9ins tall, with hazel eyes. She has long light-brown hair down to mid-back with a bald patch above her right ear. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing grey/blue leggings or skinny trousers, a dark fur coat, and flip flops, and carrying a pink bag.
