Tragedy Strikes New Housing Estate Near Norwich

A man has died in a tragic industrial accident at a new-build housing development in Norfolk. The incident occurred just after 11am on Tuesday at the Furlong Heath estate on Salhouse Road, Sprowston.

Norfolk Police rushed to the scene following the emergency call. The victim, described as an “agency general operative” by developers Tilia Homes, was pronounced dead on site. His next of kin have been informed.

Construction Site Shut Down as Investigation Kicks Off

Tilia Homes confirmed the construction site has been shut for a full investigation. Police are teaming up with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to get to the bottom of what happened.

“A man was sadly declared dead at the scene. Officers are investigating alongside colleagues from the HSE. The man’s next of kin have been informed,” said a Norfolk Police spokeswoman.

The Furlong Heath project features two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes on the outskirts of Norwich.
