Emergency services were called to Calverley Road in Tunbridge Wells at around 8.25pm yesterday after reports of a medical emergency. Police and ambulance crews attended the scene, where a man in his 50s was sadly pronounced dead. The area was cordoned off as police began their inquiries.

Police Confirm Non-suspicious Death

A police spokesperson confirmed: “His next of kin have been informed. His death is being treated as non-suspicious, and a report is being compiled for the coroner.”

Scene Secured Overnight

The street remained taped off into the night while officers carried out their work. A witness close to the scene said they returned home around 10pm but could not access the street due to the police cordon. They also saw a private emergency ambulance arrive before police left at about 11.30pm.
