Emergency services were scrambled just before midnight yesterday following a serious collision on the M25 near Junction 14. The Metropolitan Police and National Highways Traffic Officers are currently managing the scene, which remains active as investigations continue.

The London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service attended the site to provide urgent assistance. A full collision investigation is underway, with the closure expected to last well into today, causing major disruption for travellers.

The crash near Junction 14 has resulted in heavy congestion, with over a mile of tailbacks building up as drivers face long delays. Police and traffic officers remain on site, closely monitoring the situation as they probe the accident. The closure is likely to remain in place for several hours, affecting both commuters and haulage traffic.

Road users are urged to follow the official diversion route marked by the “hollow triangle” signs to avoid the congestion. The recommended diversion is to exit the M25 at Junction 14 and take the 3rd exit onto the A3113. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A3044. Then bear left onto the A4 and head towards M4 Junction 5. Join the M4 eastbound at Junction 5 and continue to Junction 4B, where you can rejoin the M25 clockwise.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead and allow plenty of extra travel time. If your journey passes near Junction 14, consider rerouting or delaying your trip to avoid the standstill. Stay tuned for updates as emergency crews work to clear the scene and safely reopen the motorway.
