Romanian Lorry Crashes Head-On on Wrong Side of Dover’s Jubilee Way
A Romanian lorry ploughed down the wrong side of Jubilee Way in Dover before smashing into a car in a terrifying late-night crash. The smash, which happened just before midnight on Sunday, has left two people fighting for their lives.
Jubilee Way Shut for Hours
Kent Police have shut the A2 Jubilee Way in both directions between the Duke of York Roundabout and Eastern Docks Roundabout. The busy road will remain closed for several hours as detectives probe the serious collision.
Massive Traffic Tails as Police Investigate
Drivers heading for the Port of Dover are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes via the A20 and the 1. Traffic chaos is expected while police carry out their inquiries.
Police Seek Witnesses
A Kent Police spokesman said: “A car travelling north on Jubilee Way collided head-on with a lorry coming the opposite way near the Eastern Docks entrance at 11.55pm on July 2.
