Five Rescued from Blazing Fire in Golders Green Shop

Flames tore through a shop with flats above on Princess Parade, Golders Green, sparking a major rescue operation early this morning.

Heroic Firefighters Save Lives

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued five people from the inferno. Three were hauled to safety via a ladder, while two others were led out by crews. Before fire crews arrived, 25 more residents had already evacuated the building.

Massive Firefighting Effort Underway

The entire ground floor shop and half of the second floor are engulfed in flames. Over 70 firefighters and officers, supported by 10 fire engines and an aerial ladder platform, are battling the blaze. Units from Hendon, West Hampstead, Finchley, and Mill Hill fire stations rushed to the scene.

Cause Still a Mystery

The London Fire Brigade was called at 07:32. The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations continue.
