Firefighters raced to a blaze that started in a garden shed before engulfing a nearby bungalow on Dunes Road, Greatstone, near New Romney. Crews wearing breathing kits battled the fire with a main jet, high-pressure hose reel, and compressed air foam jet.
No Injuries as Firefighters Gain Upper Hand
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. The British Red Cross support team arrived to help the home’s occupants. By 9:25pm, firefighters had made major headway, halting the fire’s spread and extinguishing the flames.

UK Power Networks engineers were called to cut the electricity supply to the shed, preventing further danger as crews tackled the inferno.
