Quick-Thinking Fire Crews Tackle Blaze at Havant Rugby Club

Hampshire fire crews rushed to Havant Rugby Club after a small electrical fire broke out this evening. Firefighters from Havant and Cosham were dispatched just after 7pm on Thursday, March 9, 2017, to tackle the incident on Bedhampton Road.

Smoke Sparks Alarm at Rugby Club

Club staff raised the alarm after spotting smoke billowing from an electrical box. It’s believed a fault with the meter sparked the small fire.

Firefighters Secure Scene and Call in Experts

The crew quickly isolated the power and made the area safe. They then called in Scottish and Southern Electric to handle the repairs.

Thanks to swift action, the fire was contained with no injuries reported.
