Blaze Breaks Out at University of Surrey Campus

Firefighters from Surrey Fire and Rescue rushed to the University of Surrey in Guildford after a fire erupted inside a teaching block.

Fire Contained Quickly – No Injuries

The crew was alerted when staff reported smoke on campus. The fire broke out in the Robert Boyle (AZ) building on the Stag Hill site but was swiftly contained. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

A university spokesperson said: “A fire broke out in the Robert Boyle (AZ) building on our Stag Hill campus this evening (28th). Emergency services are in attendance, and there are no reports of any injuries.”

Fire Now Extinguished

Officials confirmed the blaze has been put out, ensuring safety across the university grounds.
