Downham Way was shut late on February 28 after a chilling hit-and-run left a child injured.

A child was hit by a car around 11pm, but details on the youngster’s age remain under wraps. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
“Injuries are not life-threatening or life changing and no arrests made,” a police spokesperson said.
Police Seal Off Scene as Investigation Continues
Officers quickly sealed off part of Downham Way to allow recovery teams to clear the wreckage. The probe is ongoing, but police have yet to make any arrests.
