Car Blaze on Pier Road Doused by Kent Fire Crew

Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) rushed to tackle a car fire on Pier Road in Gillingham just after 6.30pm this evening. The flames sparked a rapid emergency response, sending a fire engine to the scene.

Firefighters Act Fast to Stop Spread

Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and swiftly battled the blaze with a high-pressure hose reel jet. Their quick action prevented the fire from spreading and causing more damage.

Kent Police Close Road for Safety

Kent Police helped by temporarily shutting Pier Road to keep both the emergency teams and public safe during the operation. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Situation Under Control, Road Reopened

Once the fire was out and the scene declared safe, the road was reopened to traffic. The prompt and effective response by KFRS stopped what could have been a much worse incident in its tracks.
