Kent Police have confirmed the discovery of a man’s body in woodland near Smarden Road, Smarden.
Officers were called at 2:35 pm on Friday, 17 August 2018, following reports of a body in the area. Emergency services, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene but the man was pronounced dead.
The death is currently being treated as non-suspicious. A formal report will be submitted to the coroner for further investigation.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of Christopher Fisher, who was reported missing on 9 August 2018, have been notified of the discovery.
