Devil’s Blaze Rips Through Eastbourne Ruin

Firefighters scrambled to a massive fire tearing through a derelict building in Eastbourne. The crumbling structure now teeters on the edge of collapse.

Blazing Inferno Meets Fierce Winds

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called in just before 5pm on Thursday, March 12, to tackle the inferno on Ashburnham Road. The fire had consumed the building’s first floor and roof space.

“There are strong winds and crews worked hard to stop the fire spreading to neighbouring properties,” the fire service confirmed. So far, no injuries have been reported and the blaze’s cause remains a mystery.

Area Sealed Off as Firefighters Brace for Overnight Battle

The public has been warned to steer clear as the building’s structural damage makes collapse likely. Relief crews took over by 9.15pm, backed by a Command Unit and Joint Fire Control after dozens of urgent 999 calls.

“We ask that you continue to avoid the area,” urged East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters are expected to labour through the night to smash the blaze and save neighbouring properties from disaster.
