Ben Wazabanga, aged 23, has been found guilty of the murder of 26-year-old Ayowale Aladejana in New Cross. The verdict was reached on Thursday, 11 June, by a jury at Southwark Crown Court after a thorough investigation involving CCTV footage and mobile phone data.

Police confirmed that the killing was connected to a financial dispute between Wazabanga and Aladejana, who were previously business partners.

The dispute over money escalated into violence, with evidence showing that Wazabanga armed himself with a knife before carrying out the fatal attack.

Authorities collected extensive CCTV recordings and analysed phone records, which helped build a strong case demonstrating that the attack was premeditated.

Ben Wazabanga is scheduled to be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, 13 July.
