Thames Valley Police are currently searching for the individual responsible after a 5G telecom mast was deliberately set on fire in Milton Keynes. The incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, 31st March 2026, causing significant disruption in the Oldbrook area.

The fire broke out between 8:15pm and 9:00pm at the busy junction of Saxon Street and Dexter Avenue. Emergency services responded promptly, evacuating nearby homes as a safety precaution while the fire brigade worked to extinguish the flames. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and residents have since been allowed to return to their properties.

Police have released a description of the suspect involved in the arson. The individual is described as a slim man wearing a light-coloured baseball cap, a black tracksuit top with white stripes along the arms, and light-coloured trousers.

Detective Constable Jordan Wallace stated: “We believe this fire was started deliberately and are treating it as arson. We urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage to come forward.”
