Police and emergency services responded to reports of a trespasser on the railway tracks near Bexleyheath station at 2.20pm on May 13. London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service, and an air ambulance attended the scene, with the helicopter landing at Burr Farm field behind St Thomas More Church Primary School.

Concern for welfare prompted British Transport Police officers to arrive promptly and search the tracks while traffic near the station was redirected for safety. The swift multi-agency response highlighted the seriousness given to potential track trespass incidents.

Despite a detailed search by officers, no individual was found on or near the railway tracks. The British Transport Police confirmed no trace of a trespasser was located following their investigation.

The area was cleared after the search, allowing traffic to return to normal. No injuries were reported and the cause of the initial welfare concern was not established.

The British Transport Police reminded anyone affected to contact the Samaritans for support. The Samaritans can be reached free 24/7 on 116 123 or via their website.
