Purse Snatchers Hit Brighton Shopper for Nearly £2,500
Thieves struck outside Waitrose on Western Road, Brighton, on 15 February 2026 at 1:30pm. Using a slick distraction trick, they snatched a purse filled with cash and bank cards. The victim was left £2,500 worse off after the crooks went on a spending spree with the stolen cards.
Police Launch Manhunt for Trio Caught on Camera
Sussex Police are hunting three men linked to high-value purchases made on the stolen cards. Officers have released CCTV images and are urging anyone who recognises the suspects to come forward without delay.
