Stacey Jackson, a mum of two, has been released without charge after a fire tore through a home in Somerford, Christchurch on Monday night. Police had arrested her on suspicion of arson but let her go following a detailed investigation.

Thanks to quick-thinking neighbours who forced entry, Stacey and her seven-week-old puppy escaped the burning home unharmed.

Police Confirm Fire Was Accidental

A Dorset Police spokesperson confirmed today that the fire was started accidentally. Stacey was initially held on suspicion of arson but has now been released with no charges filed.
