Police Hunt Witnesses After Teen Girl Raped in Gravesend Park
Kent Police are urgently seeking two witnesses after a teenage girl was raped in Gravesend’s Woodlands Park near the play area.
Attack Happened in Evening
The assault took place between 6pm and 8pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. It’s believed two people in the park may have interrupted the attacker during the incident.
Suspect Arrested Then Released
The crime was reported to police on June 12, 2020. Officers arrested a teenage boy on June 30 but later released him pending further inquiries.
Police Plea for Witnesses
“Although time has passed, we urge anyone who was in Woodlands Park that evening to come forward,” said PC Marissa Freeman. “Two people may have witnessed the assault without realising its importance. We need their help.”
