Two-Year-Old Girl Missing After Car Theft in Newham
Police are desperately hunting for a two-year-old girl who vanished after a car was stolen in Newham.
Child Went Missing During Car Sale Scam
On Sunday, 6 January, at around 4.30pm, a father met an unknown man in Nine Acres Close, E12, hoping to sell his car. But the stranger jumped into the vehicle and sped off—with the man’s two-year-old daughter, Maria, still in the front passenger seat.
Details of Girl and Stolen Vehicle
- Child: Maria, 2, Romanian, from the local area
- Clothing: White top and red bottoms
- Car: Black Audi A5, registration FY58UAZ
- Suspect: Asian male, slim build, dressed in black
The car was later recovered on Hatherway Crescent, E12—empty, without little Maria inside.
Police Urge Public to Help Find Maria
Newham detectives are leading the investigation and are asking anyone with information on Maria’s whereabouts, the suspect, or the stolen car to come forward immediately.
