Surrey Police are hunting two men following a knife-point robbery attempt near The Rising Sun pub in Epsom. The incident took place just before 6pm on Thursday, 6 June.
The victim was confronted by the suspects who demanded he hand over his phone. During the encounter, he was struck on the head and sprayed with an unknown substance.
Descriptions of the suspects are as follows: the first man is mixed race with short black hair, a slim build, and approximately 6ft tall. The second man is also mixed race, has afro-style short hair, a skinny build, and is around 6ft tall. Both men are believed to be about 25 years old and were wearing black or dark clothing.
A dark-coloured Nissan Micra was seen parked on Laburnum Road near the time of the attack.
Police are urging anyone who saw these men or the Nissan Micra in the Epsom area around 6pm on 6 June to contact Surrey Police immediately. You can call 101 or report online with reference PR/45190058918.
