Children Rescued from Southampton Shop Blaze
Two kids were saved from a first-floor flat above a Southampton shop after a fire broke out early this morning (February 15). Firefighters in breathing gear also led two adults and a dog to safety.
Quick Rescue Efforts
All five were rushed to Southampton General Hospital for precautionary checks but thankfully suffered no serious injuries. The emergency call said the group was trapped in the front bedroom of the flat.
Fire Under Control, Investigation Underway
Fire crews from St Mary’s and Eastleigh arrived quickly, breaking into the shop and reaching the flat upstairs. The blaze was fully out by 5.20am. Police and fire services have launched a joint probe to find out what sparked the fire.
