Rotherham Police Arrest Two in Hunt for Missing 14-Year-Old Cassidy
Police have swooped, detaining a man and a woman amid a frantic search for Cassidy, a 14-year-old girl who vanished from Rotherham.
Last Seen on CCTV in Rotherham Town Centre
Cassidy was spotted on CCTV at 7.11pm on Sunday, 29 March near Bridgegate in Rotherham town centre. Since then, South Yorkshire Police have launched a wide-ranging probe, combing through CCTV footage, conducting door-to-door enquiries, scouring local areas, and checking phone records.
Two Held as Police Chase Clues
- A 60-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman remain in custody, arrested on suspicion of abduction.
- Cassidy is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, with very long ginger hair usually worn in a ponytail.
- She was wearing a grey hoodie, black leggings and carrying a small handbag when last seen—but may have changed clothes.
- Cassidy often visits Thurcroft and Clifton Park areas.
Urgent Appeal as Police Fear for Cassidy’s Safety
Officers are deeply concerned for Cassidy’s welfare. They urge anyone with information or who has seen her to come forward immediately.
