Barbara’s family remember her as a vibrant soul with a generous spirit. They said: “Barbara Robinson had lived in Winchester for most of her life. For many years she worked at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital as an HR administrator, bringing tireless energy and humour to her work.
“Shortly before retiring, she was presented to the Queen in recognition of her service. After retirement, and especially following the death of her husband Austin, she threw herself into the community around Oliver’s Battery, helping organise events for the Battery Club.
“Barbara was a friendly soul with time for everyone. Married to Austin for 56 years, she passed away just over two years after him.
“She leaves behind a large family of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory forever.
“We also want to thank the teams at Southampton General Hospital, Wessex Neurological, and Hampshire Constabulary for their professionalism and care during this difficult time.”
