Plain-clothed officers in an unmarked car intercepted a suspected drug deal at the junction of Stoneydale Road and Quarrydale Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at 11.40am on Monday 24 April.
The Ashfield Operation Reacher team quickly located a 38-year-old woman shortly after the incident. She was found with drugs concealed in her clothing and was arrested on suspicion of drug supply.
A subsequent search of a nearby property uncovered cocaine, heroin, several mobile phones, and large amounts of cash. Two men, aged 20 and 35, were also arrested on suspicion of involvement in the drug trade.
Detective Sergeant Clint Gloyn of Nottinghamshire Police praised the success of the operation, stating, “This was an excellent piece of work by the Operation Reacher team in Ashfield, which continues to make a real difference in the community. Plain-clothed patrols like this let us catch drug deals in action and take swift action. Arrests like these seriously disrupt the illegal drugs trade. It’s always good news when we seize Class A drugs and destroy them.”
He added, “Our investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 258 of 24 April, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
