Teen stabbed to death in Orpington park – murder investigation launched
Detectives have launched a murder probe after a teenage boy was stabbed to death in Orpington.
Tragedy at Betts Park
Police were called to Betts Park, Bromley, at 7.22pm on Thursday, 2 November following reports of an attack on a male.
Officers found the victim, believed to be in his teens, with multiple stab wounds. They gave first aid before paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance arrived.
Victim dies at the scene
Despite desperate efforts, the victim was pronounced dead just after 8.15pm. His next of kin have been informed, and a post mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
Ongoing police investigation
Formal identification is pending. A crime scene remains in place around Betts Park, with local roads closed as the investigation continues.
No arrests have been made so far. Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Unit are leading the inquiry.
