Teen Police Cadets Step Up for Community Projects
Young volunteer police cadets, aged 13 to 17, are making waves in their communities by giving up three hours a month for weekly sessions and hands-on projects.
Digging In and Raising Cash
Take the Petersfield Police Cadets, for example. They recently teamed up with Radian Housing to help spruce up Durrants Gardens in Rowlands Castle with some serious planting work.
Not stopping there, last month these hardy teens braved the snow to fundraise for Challengers, a local charity supporting young people with physical or mental disabilities. Their efforts raised over £100 for the cause.
More Than Just A Club
The cadet scheme gives youngsters a safe space to grow, build positive ties with the police, and actively support their communities.
