Police rushed to a house in The Markhams, Ollerton, yesterday afternoon following reports of a violent confrontation. Inside the property, a 19-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds, including injuries to his chest and shoulder.

The injured man was quickly taken to hospital, where his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

The fight reportedly began inside the home before spilling out onto the street, involving several individuals.

Officers have arrested five suspects linked to the violence: four men aged 18, 19, 21, and 22, and an 18-year-old woman. All are suspected of affray.

Detective Inspector Andy Hall of Nottinghamshire Police commented on the incident: “This was a nasty assault that has left a young man in hospital with serious injuries. It was a distressing but isolated incident.”

He added, “There is no ongoing threat to the wider public, and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this.”

“The level of violence seen here is completely unacceptable and won’t be tolerated in our communities.”

“We’ve arrested multiple people but are still following several lines of inquiry. Anyone with information, CCTV, or mobile footage should contact police on 101, quoting incident 330 of 15 March 2023.”

“Alternatively, tips can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.”
