A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two men were stabbed in a shocking late-night attack in Newham.
Police were called to Forest Lane, E7, just before midnight on Thursday, 9 January, following reports of a violent stabbing. The victims, aged 19 and 23, suffered multiple knife wounds. Both were rushed to hospital in critical but stable condition.
The teenager remains in custody as detectives launch a full investigation into the incident. A Section 60 order—which allows stop and search powers—was in place across Newham from midnight until 10am the following morning.
Roads near Forest Gate railway station were temporarily closed during early police inquiries but have since reopened.
Police are urging anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference CAD8578/09JAN.
