Police officers conducted a raid at a Carlton house at 8am on Tuesday, uncovering a significant stash of drugs, cash, and weapons during a planned operation.
The raid was carried out by the Gedling Operation Reacher team, supported by Gedling Neighbourhood Policing, following intelligence that indicated drug activity at the Coningswath Road property.
Inside the premises, officers discovered large quantities of dried cannabis, bundles of cash, weighing scales, and multiple mobile phones, all typical indicators of drug dealing.
In addition to the drugs and cash, police seized a collection of dangerous weapons including two swords, a machete, a lock knife, and a set of nunchucks.
Sergeant James Carrington of Nottinghamshire Police stated: “We’re committed to cracking down on drug supply. This type of crime often goes hand-in-hand with other serious offences, which we won’t tolerate in our communities.”
He added, “Thanks to intelligence, we swooped on this address and removed both drugs and dangerous weapons from our streets.”
Sergeant Carrington also urged the public to provide information on local crime by calling 101 or anonymously contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The police investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information related to the raid should quote incident 78 of 28 February 2023 when reporting.
