Brutal Rock Ferry Assault: Police Race to Save Victim
In the early hours of Saturday, September 9, a savage attack rocked Rock Ferry, Merseyside. Quick-thinking police officers swooped in to stop what could have been a fatal assault on a 26-year-old man left with serious injuries.
Three Suspects Nabbed After Violent Brawl
The violent incident erupted when police response team 123 arrived at the scene. During the chaos, one attacker fell to the ground while another was immediately arrested. The third suspect was later detained nearby.
The victim suffered severe injuries and was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment. Medics confirmed his condition could have turned deadly if not for the lifesaving first aid administered by officers at the scene.
Two Men Held Over Assault as Police Probe Continues
- A 25-year-old man from Oxton faces charges on suspicion of Section 47 assault.
- A 21-year-old from Rock Ferry is in custody on suspicion of Section 18 assault.
Both are being questioned as investigations ramp up.
Police Plea: Witnesses, CCTV, Doorbell Footage Needed
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Dyer called the attack a “particularly vicious assault” and praised officers for their swift response that prevented tragedy. He urged anyone who saw the incident or has CCTV or doorbell footage to come forward.
DCI Dyer is especially keen to speak to two individuals who were present during the assault, believing their information could be crucial.
