A Range Rover Vogue, featuring a private registration plate, crashed into a bus shelter near the Indian High Commission on The Strand, resulting in multiple injuries. The incident caused significant disruption and led to an immediate major incident declaration by emergency services.

Emergency crews responded swiftly, with ten ambulances arriving at the scene alongside several fire engines and a strong police presence. The Catford Serious Collision Investigation Unit has taken over the investigation, and The Strand remains temporarily closed as detectives work to determine the circumstances of the crash.

At least four individuals have been confirmed to have sustained serious injuries, with one victim reported to be facing potentially life-changing harm. Authorities have cordoned off the area, including adjacent streets, to facilitate the ongoing investigation.

Efforts to obtain a comment from the Metropolitan Police have not been successful at this time. This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
