Woman in Her 50s Dies After Hit-and-Run in Ollerton

A woman in her 50s was tragically killed after being run over on Newark Road, Ollerton, at around 10.25pm on 8 December. The driver is believed to have hit her before speeding off without stopping.

Paramedics arrived soon after but could only confirm her death at the scene.

Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses

Nottinghamshire Police are urging anyone who saw the incident or has relevant information to come forward immediately. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is probing several leads.

“Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends following this tragic incident,” said Sergeant Mark Baker.

“We are deploying specialist-trained officers to support them at this difficult time.”

“We’re asking for witnesses and drivers in the area who may have dash-cam footage to get in touch.”

Newark Road remains closed between Kelsey Avenue and Sherwood Forest Crematorium as investigations continue.
